Finishing Kit

This 3 part video (originally sold as 3 DVDs) is the fourth in a series of videos developed to cover the entire build process for the Van's RV-12  aircraft kit. It covers the complete Finishing kit as supplied by Van's Aircraft (engine cowling is skipped). It is a great  place to continue with your project after completing the Fuselage Kit  The Finishing kit DVD series covers the topics as presented by the assembly manual - all in the sequence of building as specified by the manufacturer.  These topics include: attaching the wings, installing the wiring harnesses, assembling and connecting the flight controls, landing gear and wheels, constructing the canopy, building the fuel tank. The pictures on this page were captured from the actual video footage to show an example of the coverage provided in this video volume.

Of all the construction tasks required in the building of the RV-12, those found in the Finishing section of the build process are among the most challenging!  Skills that were not required previously in building this aircraft become necessary during this final stage of assembly.  These Finishing Kit DVDs will provide the greatest value to you in building assistance compared with the previous volumes in this series, in our opinion! Building procedures needed for working with the canopy and its fiberglass fairing, along with the unique fuel tank construction are much easier to understand and follow after watching.  Fewer mistakes and faster build times are the intended goals.

Note: This production is not associated or endorsed by Van's Aircraft. It does not replace or supersede the documentation provided with the kit.  It is meant to be an aid in building the aircraft and its methods are presented only as a suggestion to builders.

This 3 part video is  5 hours in length and is divided into various video chapters to make navigation and review of desired sections fast and easy.
